PixScan is built with privacy in mind. The app is designed to work offline and we do not require registration. This Privacy Policy explains what information is (and is not) processed when you use the app and this website.

1) Information collection

We do NOT collect personal information

• We do not collect your name, email, phone number, contacts, or precise location.
• We do not create user profiles.
• We do not sell your data.

Scanned documents

We do not access your scanned documents. Scans are stored locally on your device. If you choose to share/export a file, you control where it goes (for example, email or cloud storage you choose).

Advertising partners (Google AdMob)

Some builds of PixScan may display ads using Google AdMob. In that case, Google (as an advertising partner) may process limited device information to deliver and measure ads.

What may be processed by AdMob:

• Device identifiers and/or advertising identifiers (depending on your device settings and region)
• Approximate device information (such as device type, language, and coarse location derived from IP)
• Ad interaction signals (impressions, clicks)

What AdMob does NOT get from us:

• Access to your scanned documents
• Your document contents
• Your contacts or files unrelated to scanning

2) How information is used

• Ad delivery (limited): to show ads and measure performance for ad-supported versions.
• App performance optimization: we may use aggregated, non-identifying signals (when available via platform services) to improve stability and performance.
• No third-party data sharing by us: we do not share personal data because we do not collect it.

3) Advertising personalization (limited) & opt-out

Depending on your region and device settings, ads may be personalized or non-personalized. You can generally control ad personalization via your Android and Google settings.

• On Android, search settings for “Ads”, “Advertising”, or “Privacy” to manage ad personalization.
• If available on your device, you can reset or delete your advertising ID.

Note: device menus vary by Android version and manufacturer. If you need help, contact us and we’ll point you to the right settings for your device.

4) Your rights and choices

• Local data control: you can delete scans at any time by removing files inside the app or your device storage.
• Data deletion requests: since we do not collect your scans or personal data, there is typically nothing for us to delete on our servers.
• GDPR considerations: if applicable, you may contact us to ask privacy questions or exercise rights related to any data processed by third parties (such as ad providers).

5) Security

We take reasonable measures to protect this website (for example, input validation and form protections). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we aim to minimize risk.

6) Children’s privacy

PixScan is not intended for children under the age where parental consent is required by law. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

7) Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will revise the “Last updated” date above. Material changes will be reflected clearly on this page.
